NEW! Week-by-Week or Annual Subscriptions

HyMet’s forecasting services deliver convenience, reliability, and industry leading results directly to your inbox. We publish weekly forecasts during the 2010-2011 water-season with results distributed to subscribing clients via email.

This forecast is a step up from the runoff forecast that we also distribute, in that the amount of electrical generation produced by the Columbia River federal hydro system is forecast, not just seasonal runoff volumes. We use the output from the Runoff Forecast to make the generation forecast, which eliminates this step for the user. We have also added another page that shows the updated Basin Water Storage and the runoff forecast to the end of the season. These two numbers, together with the Generation Forecast, provide all the essential information needed for a comprehensive Columbia system energy forecast.

Forecasts show total energy generation for the following 13 projects:

  • Hungry Horse
  • Libby
  • Grand Coulee
  • Chief Joseph
  • Dworshak
  • Lower Granite
  • Little Goose
  • Lower Monumental
  • Ice Harbor
  • McNary
  • John Day
  • The Dalles
  • Bonneville

Distributed Wednesdays via email (excluding the first week in October).
